As part of their on-going commitment to the community, ATF Fuels will be supporting this year’s Jersey International Air Display on Thursday 8th September by providing the aviation fuel for around 20 aircraft taking part in the display. 2016 marks the second year that ATF Fuels has supplied fuel for the display.
The aerial display is a free event that takes place each year during Battle of Britain Week to commemorate military pilots who heroically defended Britain during World War II while raising funds towards a chosen forces charity. Funds raised at this year’s event will go towards the RAF Association’s Wings Appeal. The celebration will showcase a number of military and civilian aircraft taking part in the aerial display. Static displays will also take place at Jersey Airport and West Park on 7th, 8th and 9th September, giving the public the opportunity to see the aircraft up close and meet the pilots and crew.
Jonathan Best, Operations Manager at ATF Fuels, commented:
We’re very proud to once again support the air display. As a provider of aviation fuel, this event provides the perfect opportunity for us to give back to our community by supplying the fuel that is needed to get the show off the ground so to speak!
Mike Higgins, Organiser of the Jersey International Air Display added:
It would be very difficult for us to have an air display in Jersey without ATF’s continued support. Their donation of fuel runs into the tens of thousands of pounds and makes all the difference to the sustainability of the show, as well as enabling us to ensure more money goes to charity.
